Description

5000 light-years away from earth, is the Crescent Nebula in the constellation of Cygnus. 25 light-years across the nebula is blown by the winds of the central massive bright star. The blue-green hue is produced by oxygen atoms and the red by hydrogen. The central star is shedding its outer envelope, ejecting the equivalent of Sun's mass every 10,000 years.
